Hakata Sumo Beya is a sumo-show restaurant near Fukuoka Airport, not a working sumo stable, and it runs year-round rather than only during the tournament.
No tournament ticket is included; lunch, a projector introduction, movement demonstrations and a live match demonstration make up the show.
The optional costumed bout against a cast member is first-come, first-served, and not available if you have been drinking alcohol.
Meeting point: 3 minutes' walk from the "片峰新橋" bus stop, reached by bus from Fukuoka Airport Mae (near Exit 4) or from Hakata.
